ESL/TOEFL

Our ESL programs are interactive and student-centred, with a focus on providing students with the opportunity to practice their English communication skills. Out school’s ESL classes are focused on grammar, speaking pronunciation, conversational English, reading comprehension, writing and TOEFL Preparation. Every new student is given an English level placement test and interview on the first day of each monthly term.

Conversational English as a Second Language

Conversational English is for all Our ESL Students from Beginner, and Intermediate through to Advanced.

• Listening and comprehension exercises
• Speaking and writing practice related to social and business activities
• Becoming comfortable with English idioms related to small talk and to practical topics
• Grammar and spelling correction

Northern lights preparation College's English Conversation Course provides opportunities to develop your Conversational English skills. Our classes focus on interesting conversations about real-life topics. All students have plenty of time to practice speaking and listening in English.

Intensive International English Program

The Intensive International English Program consists of 30 hours of instruction per week. All of the language skills including grammar, reading, writing, speaking, vocabulary, and idioms are incorporated into each and every class with maximum emphasis on conversation and communication. Because we limit our class size, student discussions are an essential part of this program. Our classes enable you to express yourself and listen to what others have to say.

Semi-Intensive International English Program

The Semi-Intensive International English Program consists of 20 hours of instruction per week. In this program you will join the mainstream Intensive English Program for 4 hours per day. This program is ideal for you if you wish to have afternoons free for extracurricular activities.
